Hey, I figured I might as well let you guys know about the meetup group I was assistant organizer of. It was on meetup.com, but that costs money, so I made a google group for it, which some members are migrating to. I DID NOT choose the name. http://groups.google.com/group/phoenix-target-and-tactical-shooters

Sorry if this is considered "advertising" and is not allowed.

Let me know what timeframe you guys are talking about. There's a decent chance that some of us Austin cats can be there for this one. I'd like to shake Meplat's hand and perhaps do some kind of embarrassing photo shoot with Serv too - like with a turtle on his head or maybe with a big plush Squirtle. NOT nude - don't even start.

This would be a fun event, but a 17 hour drive (with guns in trunk!) alas is too long. Also this would have to happen after finals end, so mid May or later would be best methinks.

Any chance we can do it in Sasco or somewhere closer to Tucson for all us tucsonfags who work?
Id love to go, but a 2 hour+ drive is a bit much for me just to shoot when I can go to sasco pretty much any weekend.

I've been confirming from multiple sources that my unit's block leave should be from 25ish May to 25ish June. Somewhere in there I should have a two-week window, since I don't have enough days saved up to request the full 30 days.

For planning purposes, I live in Scottsdale, but driving to Tucson would not be out of the question at all if it came to it.

Grumpy and I will likely be flying through DFW and landing in Tucson. We've got some business out there, and then it's just a bit of a drive in the rental car. It might be a problem to bring a lot of weapons though, TSA being the Nazi's that they are, but we'll see what we can do.

My brother invited me to a game out there tomorrow (Saturday) And the airsofters around here typically only do about 1 a month out there so we should be okay, also they tend to pick Saturdays/weekends, not Friday's because a lot of them are in school.

>>188530
The road is pretty well maintained, the only hard part is you have to cross through a small part of the Santa Cruz and it can get pretty deep, but we haven't had any rain fall for a while so it should be fine.

Need to know who I'm picking up, and what they are bringing.

If the road in is decent, I'll use a friend's Crown Vic, just for the mileage and comfort factor.

I'm coming from north phoenix/glendale area.

If the road is shit, we'll have to deal with the F350 and it's leaf springs.
